When I first bought this book I by it's title thought it would be about several of the women in the neighborhood, was I pleasantly surprised when it turned out the way it did. Amber again exhibits her ability to surprise her readers. Instead what I got was a well written seduction of Jane's young neighbor Sunny into her first time sapphic sexual experience. But this isn't the only twist to this well written story. No this story is filled with some very steamy and erotic sexual encounters, where Jane at first feels she's the dominant one and in full control or is she? As this book ends Jane begins to wonder who's controlling whom in this erotic affair, leaving the door wide open for a continuation to delve deeper into that particular question. Amber's writing style is one to be admired, her complete understanding of the art of sapphic love and grammar is a step above the other writers I've read. She an inept ability to draw you into her stories and make you feel a part of them. I look forward to reading her new book coming out later this month.Product details

This was a sexy (hot-hot-hot!), fun, and simply an overall excellent read! It started off as a sexy encounter between two neighbors, but soon morphed into more. Was Sunny psychotically deranged, or was there something more going on with her? Jane can't get her head around her sexy young neighbor's antics, but neither can she push her away. Block Party is an interesting, topsy-turvy look at a dominant-submissive relationship. Do yourself a favor and give this one a read!
I enjoyed this read that starts out as a friendly neighborly exchange. There's a block party coming up and things get hot real quick. Skye has an exciting fun and thrilling tale. I am looking forward to reading more from Amber! She will keep you coming for more...
A weird relationship starts between two neighbours after their block party. Why one of them have a crying reaction after they make love is never explained, but the sex scenes are very hot and well written. Love it, I just hoped it had a better ending that is why it only gets 4 stars
I was overwhelmed by this super naughty lesbian erotica story.
The quiet pace and tone of the first page quickly changes afterwards.
I was surprised by the character development. The main characters seems to discover a whole new aspect of her personality and sexuality.
The psychological elements are real enhancers for the sex scenes. And I have to say that Amber Skye created something consistent, deep in some ways and supra hot and slightly twisted.
I can only recommend the book
Block Party is compulsively readable - primarily because the two characters Sunny and Jane are so finely and fully realized. This story is ABSOLUTELY spot on as to how encounters happen. While enjoying this story, I found myself sinking into a world of sexual Pleasure! Amber Skye has her own unique plots and sexy scenes that will make you feel out of this world… Yet similar to actual everyday life.
Block Party by Amber Skye is a hot and satisfying story of lesbian sex, but my enjoyment of it went further. In addition to several arousing sex scenes, we seen it unfold subtly through the eyes of the main character, Jane. She’s attracted to a woman, Sunny, and doesn’t know whether or not the other gal is lesbian or bisexual – “equal opportunity” - as Jane cleverly phrases it. Since the object of her eye is a neighbor, she has to be careful about learning if her advances would be welcome or if they would lead to disaster. The reader gets to enjoy her dilemma as Jane attempts to probe Sunny’s disposition. The tension of Jane’s tentative exploration is just the first bonus of this erotic story.
After Jane’s clues are finally rewarded with encouragement, we’re treated to the first of several creative physical encounters, but Amber Skye surprises us with a psychological twist that is all too common in real life and most of us have probably experienced at least once. After each great sex scene – and each is delightfully different – there are personality issues to be addressed and overcome. The problems Jane must deal with in handling Sunny are the second treat for the reader, but it doesn’t stop. I was laughing out loud at the turns the story took, and yet, unlike so many stories in the genre of erotica, I had to admit that sexual relationship problems this sort of thing do happen. When you read it, Block Party might make you recall how a sex partner in your own experience threw you these kinds of curves.
Just when you’re smiling at the surprises the artful telling of this story gives you, Amber Skye does it again when Jane finally has enough of reacting to Sunny and instead takes matters into her own hands in an extreme scene which brings their relationship to a climax. It’s not just an exciting, hot read, but one that builds tension between two characters. It’s more than just well-constructed. The story is both unpredictable as you go and yet believable. This was my first Amber Skye read, but it won’t be the last.
